What is Intelligent P&ID?
It is a third party piping application software that complement Bentley System International MicroStation ®.
What does Intelligent P&ID do?
It simplifies the design and drafting preparation of Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Mechanical Flow Diagram (MFD), and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID).
What is the benefit of employing Intelligent P&ID?
It comes complete with Material Take Offs (MTO) or Bill Of Materials Generator.
How to load P&ID application automatically?
Copy the delivered tuberoV8(XM or V8i).cfg workspace configuration into MicroStation/Config/Appl directory.
How to load P&ID application manually?
1. Through key-in dialog box: mdl load[drive]/[program files]/ Tubero/Program/pidV8/V8XM/V8i.ma
2. Through MicroStation pull down menu: Utilities/MDL Applications/Browse [drive]/[program files]/Tubero/Program/pidV8/V8XM/V8i.ma
Can more layers be created and/or used other than the initialized ones?
Yes, the option of setting the desired color, style, weight, and level per user's preference (User 1 to User 5)
is added for convenient. Initialize the Tubero P&ID Parameter Setting dialog box, assign the layer(s)
you created to corresponding user (User 1 to User 5), select desired Working Level radio button,
dismiss the dialog box once done and start or continue working as usual.
How to make use of Intelligent P&ID Continuous Mode?
Invoke Connect to Design icon command and ID data point to establish Continuous Mode start point. Click on the Toggle button under General Setup Tool Box Icon
and turn on Continuous Mode radio button.
Why does Intelligent P&ID not working properly?
Edit the delivered (tubero**.cfg) file that was copied to .../.../MicroStation/config/appl directory,
set the configuration VARIABLES to point to their respective directories, i.e.,
PROGRAM - to program directory, SPEC - to spec directory, etc....

Tubero General
Can other design seedfiles (drawing templates) be used instead of the delivered ones?
Yes, any design seedfiles or drawing templates can be initialized for use with any Tubero Piping Applications.
How to place dummy MTO?
Invoke Dummy MTO command from the Utility Toolbox and identify the graphics to attach to. If the graphics does not exist, simply identify the placement location.
How to delete MTO from the design file?
Invoke the MicroStation delete tag command and use either individual, group or fence selection modes. The process is undoable, hence, a normal MicroStation command.
Dimensional data does not exist.
Add or populate the delivered dimensional data files located in [DRIVE]:\Program Files\Tubero\Ortho\dimTable directory.
Note: Use spaces (instead of tabs) in between columns.
Size (MTO) not available.
Add or populate the delivered MTO files located in [DRIVE]:\Program Files\Tubero\spec\Generic directory.
Note: Use spaces (instead of tabs) in between columns.
Do these applications validates user's input?
Inputs are being filtered according to the pipe specification being used, i.e., size, schedule, rating (Class), etc..., however, the user can always bypass
the branch and spec checking by disabling the Verify Connection and Branch Check toggle buttons respectively.
How to disable Tubero Application Menu from showing when MicroStation starts?
Edit the delivered (tubero**.cfg) file that was copied to .../.../MicroStation/config/appl and add two forward slashes as shown:
// MS_INITAPPS = C:/Program Files/Tubero/Program/tubero**.ma
Note: ** is the current TUBERO application version.
Where to find the generated MTO text files?
They are being saved in the corresponding application directory, as displayed in the message prompt "Generated MTO text file is ...., delete as required...."
Please note that the directories are set by the configuration VARIABLES, i.e., ORTHO_MTO - to Ortho application directory, PID_MTO - to P&ID application directory, etc....
"MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3) has stopped working"
Run MicroStation as administrator...!
